Confused or something stronger with the Haaland goal standing? “Not even confused. We put things in place in the game now to help referees, how many screens, how many people. It’s more worrying if that’s the interpretation of the game of football. If that’s the definition of not interfering with play with our defender next to him within an inch of the ball, it’s s staggering decision. I couldn’t understand it once I’ve seen it and the explanation makes it even worse. Incredible.”
“There’s a long season ahead. We’ve got to get back to winning football matches but that decision is not on us today.”
Didn’t score up a man: “It’s up to us to create and score after that, of course it is. We had moments. It’s not easy but you’ve seen it before — big moments in big games like that have a huge impact and obviously it did today. We could’ve created more. We’re a good team so we’ll get back to winning ways.”
