Someone should have told us this Robbie Keane fellow was good.

The Los Angeles Galaxy didn’t have Landon Donovan -- he was doing his thang down in Mexico -- but they didn’t need their star as Keane netted his 11th goal in 20 games and helped his club to a 1-1 draw with the Columbus Crew. (The Crew were playing their first game since the passing of Kirk Urso.)

Keane’s tally, which came after Sean Franklin abused a Crew defender and crossed the ball, was his seventh since July 8.

Eddie Gaven nearly netted a game-winner in the 94th minute. That would have been special.
