Stuart Holden inched just a little closer to getting back on the field earlier this week when he rejoined his Bolton teammates at the Reebok.

It’s an important time to be with the club and to share time with fellow Trotters, of course, following last week’s flooring revelation of an ill teammate.

Holden has returned from Delaware, the site of his extensive rehabilitation work over the last three months.

He still appears weeks away from returning to the field, and the likelihood of him playing again in the 2011-12 Premiership season seems remote. That means Holden probably won’t be in any condition to join Jurgen Klinsmann’s national team this summer.

There are acres of Holden quotes here, as the injured midfielder spoke at length about his rehab for the club’s official website.
