Houston Dynamo center back Geoff Cameron looks like he has one foot in England, where Stoke City has made an official offer to Major League Soccer.

The Houston Chronicle says Stoke City has submitted a $2.7 million bid for the rangy defender/midfielder. The move already has the club’s blessing, so it’s on MLS and commissioner Don Garber to approve the move.

“The club is in favor of this transfer, and we are in support of it happening,” Dynamo president Chris Canetti told the Chronicle. “We will continue to work with the league as they go through the process and make their decision.”

It seems likely to happen, but the league has quashed moves before. A decision could arrive as early as today.
