Zing! German paper cracks on the Greeks

Bild front

The German tabloid Bild let their European neighbors have it today.

I know this ongoing European economic crisis is serious business, attached to suffering and economic woe and other hard-to-watch elements we like to refer to as “the real world.”

But I’m sorry, this made me giggle. (The very quick background is that the Germans have been smarter with their money and are having to help bail out the fallen Greek economy.)

So the headline ahead of today’s Euro 2012 quarterfinal translates to “Bye, Greeks. We can’t save you today.”
