Wade Smith underwent surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee.
He’ll be out eight weeks. The disappointing left tackle faces an uncertain future in Miami.

A second MRI on LT Wade Smith’s knee revealed a strained MCL.
That’s good news. The anchor of Miami’s weak offensive line will miss little training camp time, if any.

Dolphins LT Wade Smith is awaiting the results of an MRI after sustaining injuries to his knee and ankle.
The Dolphins believe the knee injury is a sprained MCL, which would likely sideline him for two or three weeks. The Dolphins better hope that is all. Smith is the anchor to an offensive line full of question marks. Ricky Williams owners should follow up on news of Smith.

    Dolphins released T Wade Smith.
Smith has been an injury-prone bust since going in the 2003 third-round. Former Eagle Trey Darilek took his roster spot.

Dolphins officially benched left tackle Wade Smith.
Smith is something of a scapegoat for the entire line. He was probably their best player last year, so his performance is curious or injury-related.

Left tackle Wade Smith could be demoted this week.
Smith was supposed to be the strength of the worst offensive line of football. But he was abused on national television by the Bengals and could lose his job to Damion McIntosh.

Texans LG Wade Smith underwent “a little knee scope” after the Pro Bowl.
Smith, 32 in two weeks, made his first career Pro Bowl this past season, and he graded out as Pro Football Focus’ No. 13 left guard. Sandwiched between left tackle Duane Brown and center Chris Myers, the trio makes up one of the league’s best left sides. Smith should be good to go for training camp.
  • Antoine Caldwell is penciled in as the Texans’ starting right guard.
Incumbent Mike Brisiel is out indefinitely while coming off a Lisfranc fracture, and Wade Smith was signed to be a versatile backup. A center at Arkansas, Caldwell’s athleticism should be a plus in Houston’s zone-blocking scheme.

Texans LG Wade Smith (knee) is practicing in full this week, and will start Monday’s opener against the Chargers.
According to coach Gary Kubiak, Smith made “one heck of a recovery” from his August knee scope. Smith hasn’t missed a game since 2008.
