The Cavaliers have signed Zhaire Smith to a 10-day contract.
Cleveland filled out their 14th roster spot with this move, and the deadline to do so was Sunday. Smith has averaged 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game for the Cleveland Charge this season, but it is unlikely that he sees the floor enough to warrant a roster spot in any format.

The Pistons have waived Zhaire Smith.
Smith has been plagued by injuries but you’d think he’d be the type of player the Pistons would want to gamble on at this point in the rebuild. Hopefully Smith gets another look on a training camp deal because there are only a handful of NBA athletes with his athleticism.

Zhaire Smith has been traded to the Pistons in exchange for Tony Bradley.
Smith never found his footing in Philly and he played a total of 32 minutes last season. Hope springs eternal for young players in Detroit this season, as the Pistons embark on an all-out rebuild, but Smith will have to prove he can shoot (37.8% through two season) before earning fantasy GMs’ attention.

  • IND Center-Forward #13
The Sixers are acquiring center Tony Bradley in a one-for-one trade with the Pistons.
Zhaire Smith is headed to Detroit in the deal, as both teams shift minor pieces to address position needs. Bradley gives Philly some emergency depth in the middle, but he shouldn’t be in the rotation while Joel Embiid and Dwight Howard are healthy.

Zhaire Smith is dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee and will not participate in the Orlando games with the Sixers.
The fantasy impact is almost zero, as Smith appeared in just seven games this season. However, because the injury happened before the start of Sixers training camp, they will not be eligible to replace him on the roster for Orlando.

The Sixers have recalled Zhaire Smith from their G League affiliate.
No fantasy impact here, as Smith has appeared in just seven games for Philly this season, logging a total of 32 minutes.

Zhaire Smith has been assigned to the 76ers’ G-League affiliate.
Smith has been a non-factor in the 76ers rotation this season, and there’s still a long way to go when it comes to his skill development. The time in Delaware should be helpful in that regard, as he’ll get game reps that were not available in Philadelphia.

Zhaire Smith (left ankle sprain) played 10 minutes on Tuesday, scoring three points (1-of-5 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs) with one rebound and one steal.
Smith was questionable for this matchup with the Warriors, but he was able to suit up and give it a go. He scored his first points of the season, which was good to see for a player that’s had his first season-plus derailed by injury and illness. Smith is a developmental player and isn’t on the fantasy radar.
  • Shooting Guard #19
Zhaire Smith (left ankle) will be available to play on Tuesday against the Warriors.
He’s logged a total of three minutes this season, leave him on the waiver wire.
  • Shooting Guard #19
Zhaire Smith (left ankle sprain) is questionable for Tuesday vs. the Warriors.
He played just three minutes in his season debut on Saturday, so his status won’t impact fantasy leagues.
