The two sides have been working hard to make this happen, having agreed to postpone the void date on Goedert’s expiring contract twice in the last week. Re-signing Goedert keeps him on board through the 2026 season and allows the Eagles to spread out the $20.5 million cap hit they were set to absorb. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo previously suggested that the Eagles can’t pay Goedert if they keep A.J. Brown, and they can’t take both salary cap hits. One domino has fallen. Only time will tell if Garafolo was correct. Stay tuned.
  • LA Wide Receiver #17
Financial investments at the wide receiver position could have been the Rams’ primary motivating factor, though having three high-end wide receivers can hardly be viewed as a negative, albeit a pricey one. Nacua is entering the final year of his rookie contract and will presumably sign “a significant second contract” soon. Adams is due $24 million this season and Brown is set to make $29 million. Florio believes today might have been the Rams’ self-imposed deadline for trading Adams away because his $6 million roster bonus just became fully guaranteed. It appears as though Adams will remain a Ram for 2026, but anything is possible. Stay tuned.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #1
This one is a bit head-scratching. Mooney’s skillset seems to carry significant overlap with returning veteran Darius Slayton, the latter of whom recently signed a new three-year deal that ties him to the franchise through 2027. Mooney did play from the slot at a 41% frequency a season ago and the team saw Wan’Dale Robinson walk in free agency, although Mooney will have to compete with veteran holdover Isaiah Hodgins and recent signee Calvin Austin for snaps inside, if that is the vision from the team. The size of the contract seems to indicate he will have a legitimate role in the offense in 2026.
  • LAC Quarterback #5
Lance served as the backup to Justin Herbert in 2025, apparently doing enough to warrant a return to the team for the coming season. Lance has started six games across 16 appearances in four professional seasons with the 49ers, Cowboys, and Chargers, starting one game each in the previous two seasons. His career five-to-five touchdown-to-interception ratio and 54.0% completion rate leave a lot to be desired, particularly considering he has not thrown a touchdown since his rookie season in 2021. At bare minimum, he brings familiarity with the offensive system and continuity behind Herbert.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #0
The details of the restructure were not immediately made available, but it sounds like the two sides did not address the maturation of the contract, meaning Ridley is still under team control through the 2027 season after signing a four-year contract with the team prior to the 2024 season. Ridley missed the second half of 2025 due to a broken fibula suffered in the middle of November. Rumors swirled throughout the offseason of the team potentially releasing Ridley, but he remains in Tennessee... at least for the immediate future.
  • TEN Quarterback #1
Ward was diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder on January 5th. On February 20th, Wolfe reported that Ward was focused on building up his lower body and was expected to resume throwing in March. Sounds like he is on track, which is great to hear. He is expected to be ready for offseason team workouts this spring. The Titans’ front office signed WR Wan’Dale Robinson and TE Daniel Bellinger in free agency this week, providing Ward with more receiving weapons in his second NFL season. Ward is reportedly staying in Nashville this offseason to work with new coaches and players ahead of the 2026 season.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
Earlier today, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that “the Eagles will not trade A.J. Brown at this time.” Garafolo said he “does not sense real momentum right now,” but he believes general manager Howie Roseman will engage in potential trade talks over the weekend. The Eagles face $20.5 million in dead money if they allow Goedert’s contract to expire at the new void deadline on Monday. Signing him to a new deal would allow them to spread some of that $20.5 million around to other years. Brown carries a cap hit greater than $23 million this year. Releasing him pre-June 1 would result in more than $72 million in dead money and a loss of $49 million in cap room. Per Over The Cap, the Eagles build team-friendly trade windows into their contracts. If the Eagles trade Brown before June 1st, the dead money drops to $48.939 million and the cap hit drops to $25.5 million. The two players’ futures with the team “are interconnected.”
  • LV Defensive End
Crosby said the world will “get the best version of 98" in 2026 after the Ravens failed him on his physical just days after agreeing to a trade with the Raiders. The star pass-rusher recently declared himself “a Raider” on social media, suggesting he’s hoping to remain with the team this upcoming season, and it’s been reported that the asking price for Crosby hasn’t changed despite the Ravens reneging on the deal. Crosby suffered a knee injury last season that he played through, but he still underwent offseason surgery to repair a torn meniscus. One of the true Iron Men of the league, Crosby is no doubt motivated to prove the Ravens made the wrong move in sending him back to Vegas. He’ll have a sizable chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove if he is ready for training camp.
  • MIN Quarterback #1
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Murray will make $36.8 million this season. The Cardinals will pay all but the minimum salary. National and local journalists reported yesterday that Murray could sign with the Vikings today, but the former Cardinals quarterback notably set up virtual meetings with executives from three to five teams that might be in need of a new starting quarterback in 2027. He did so with the goal of getting a head start on next year’s free agency cycle, signaling he intended to sign a one-year prove-it deal with the Vikings if the two sides could come to an agreement. Pelissero notes that the Vikings hope competition for the starting role brings out “the best” in QB J.J. McCarthy following a poor 2025 season for the young quarterback. Murray should be considered the favorite to run away with the job at this time and could warrant QB1 treatment, guided by quarterback-guru head coach, Kevin O’Connell.
  • WAS Running Back #1
The signing reunites White with his college signal caller, Commanders QB Jayden Daniels. The two played together from 2020-2021 at Arizona State. White logged 42 carries and eight receptions in 2020 before blossoming into a featured dual-threat player in 2021. That season, he rushed 182 times and caught 43 passes. The Commanders will likely add another running back or two via free agency or the 2026 NFL Draft, but White can currently be viewed as the favorite to handle passing down duties and will presumably compete with second-year RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt for the lead rushing role as well. This looks like a fantasy-friendly signing for White.
