Over the last few hours, multiple reports have indicated that the two sides are still expected to come to an agreement. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said it “seems like something was lost in translation” during early negotiations, specifically regarding the “reporting structure” and decision-making powers. He adds that the Titans are still “interested and waiting” to find out what happens, while noting that former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski could be “the one” for the Giants if things fall through with Harbaugh.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Despite the questionable listing, we expect Odunze to play on Sunday. This is the exact same pattern (limited, limited, full) that he had ahead of the Wild Card round — the only difference is that Odunze was cleared off the injury report altogether for that one. Odunze had a 2/44 game in his return against the Packers after missing Weeks 14-18 with the foot injury.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
Collins was unable to practice throughout the week. Texans slot WR Christian Kirk operated as the team’s No. 1 wide receiver last week, and is likely the best bet to do so again against the Patriots. It is an unfortunate development for Collins, who also missed his team’s Week 8 game against the 49ers due to concussion. Texans rookie WRs, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, have a chance to rise to the occasion.
  • FA Head Coach
McDaniel won’t be without a job for long, but whether or not he lands a job as a head coach or an offensive coordinator is still to be determined. The former Dolphins head coach last spoke with the Ravens on Thursday regarding their head coaching vacancy, and is reportedly at the top of the list for the Eagles to fill their offensive coordinator vacancy. McDaniel also interviewed for the head coaching vacancies for both the Browns and Falcons. McDaniel would likely have full autonomy over the Bucs’ offense should he join the team, and could help turn around an offense the regressed in its first season sans Liam Coen.
  • KC Quarterback #15
Mahomes said that his rehab is going “great” so far. He is “hitting all the checkpoints” in terms of regaining “strength” and “range of mobility.” He said he should be able to do “some stuff” during organized team activities and hopes to do “a lot” in training camp. Overall, this is a positive first update from Mahomes as he returns from ACL and LCL tears in his knee.
  • SEA Quarterback #14
Darnold adds that there is “close to zero” percent chance that he misses his team’s playoff game against the division-rival 49ers. This is encouraging. He told reporters that he “felt something during routes on air and didn’t want to push it.” Smart move. The Seahawks are one game away from a trip to the NFC Championship Game. We expect him to play on Saturday.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
The Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan M. Alexander believes Collins is “a long shot” to play on Sunday against the Patriots, given “the steps he must clear.” Unfortunately, he might be right. Collins still has time to advance through the NFL’s five-phase concussion protocol, but another absence at tomorrow’s practice would be discouraging. Veteran slot WR Christian Kirk stepped up last week, catching 8-of-9 targets for 144 yards and one touchdown in the Texans’ Wild Card win over the Steelers. We expect him to operate as the team’s top target earner if Collins cannot play.

Per Rapoport, the Giants will spend the morning hammering out the details, but Harbaugh has accepted the job. We should get confirmation on the deal later today. He will become one of the league’s highest-paid coaches once the ink is dry. Things have been moving in this direction for a while. Harbaugh visited the Giants’ facility yesterday, met with the New York brass, and even talked with Jaxson Dart in person. There were reports that he would meet with the Titans today, but those plans have likely been called off. The Giants have won more than eight games just twice in the past 13 seasons. Harbaugh, on the other hand, never won fewer than eight games during his 18-year run as the team’s head coach. He will bring an unmatched floor and cultural shift to the organization. The question now will be what kind of ceiling he can achieve. That was ultimately his issue at the end of his Baltimore days, and it will be the determining factor in whether or not his Giants tenure is a success.
  • FA Head Coach
The Giants reportedly made a “massive push” to get Harbaugh to sign with them today. Of note, Harbaugh met with the Giants at their facility, toured the grounds, and even met with Jaxson Dart today. The Titans, on the other hand, are meeting him at his home. While it does seem like the Giants are in pole position to land the cycle’s hottest name, Harbaugh is still going to talk to the Titans. He will likely meet with Atlanta before making a decision as well.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
Collins’ head slammed into the ground during the third quarter of the Texans’ Wild Card Round win over the Steelers. He rode a cart to the locker room, did not return, and has since entered concussion protocol. Assuming he doesn’t make a late appearance at practice today, Collins looks unlikely to suit up for the Divisional Round. Christian Kirk erupted for 144 yards and a touchdown on eight grabs last week. He is in line for WR1 duties if Nico is ruled out.
