We don’t get it. Fiedler plays in domes, Feeley plays outdoors? The Dolphins may revolt if this keeps up all season.

Feeley had to be considered the favorite for the job heading into training camp, so this is a disappointment. He’ll get his chance to lead the fish if Miami starts slow under Jay Fiedler.

It appears that Jay Fiedler has slightly outplayed A.J. Feeley so far during training camp and is the favorite for the job. Coach Dave Wannstedt will announce a starter by next week.

The Dolphins will likely go with Jay Fiedler or Sage Rosenfels.

The Dolphins coaching staff will look for concrete progress from Feeley in the last two preseason games. A couple boffo performances could still win him the starting job.

We think Spielman is on the way out either way. Miami can attract a premier head coach and he won’t want Spielman as his GM.

Their offensive line simply can’t pick up blitzing defenders. “It’s a mess,” said one player who requested anonymity. “They’re asking guys to do things they’re not ready to do, and after 12 weeks of it not working, we’re still trying to do the same thing, which doesn’t make sense to me.”

Feeley is winning points with his toughness late this season. He’ll be in the mix for the starting job next year if he closes strong.

Feeley has thrown eight picks in the last three games. The Dolphins remain committed to Feeley for the remainder of the season unless he really falls apart. Sage Rosenfels is the backup.
