A.J. Price is out of the Pacers’ primary rotation thanks to the Leandro Barbosa trade.
Price was backing up Darren Collison, but George Hill will fill that role now. Barbosa steps into Hill’s old role as the backup shooting guard behind Paul George. Price is headed for a bit gig and garbage time minutes.
  • Point Guard #3
George Hill (shoulder) will not play in Monday’s game against the Pistons.
Hill’s injury isn’t serious, but the Pacers are resting anyone with any minor ailments. They’ve locked up the No. 3 seed in the East. Hill is questionable for Wednesday’s regular season finale, but we’d expect limited minutes even if he’s active. A.J. Price is starting Monday.
  • Power Forward #19
Jeff Pendergraph started for Roy Hibbert (rest) on Monday against the Pistons, setting season-highs in points (10) and rebounds (seven) in 18 minutes.
Pendergraph added two blocks and an assist. He might be worth a look in deeper leagues for Wednesday’s finale against the Bulls, as Hibbert has already been announced to be on a minute-limit for that contest. Fellow starters A.J. Price scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting with four rebounds and six assists in 17 minutes, and Dahntay Jones had six points on 2-of-7 shooting with three boards, two assists, and a three.
  • NBA Point Guard #1
A.J. Price hit 4-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, four rebounds and six assists in Wednesday’s win over Charlotte.
He got some extra run as the Pacers went with their bench for much of the game, but should have no fantasy value as long as Darren Collison is healthy.
  • NBA Small Forward #6
Lance Stephenson (ankle) will be the Pacers backup PG once he’s healthy, moving A.J. Price out of the rotation.
Frank Vogel said the team is “committed” to Stephenson, adding, “He’s going to be a tremendous weapon for us at some point. He’s still got to get his feet wet. He saw virtually no time last year, so he’s essentially a rookie.” Keep an eye on him in deep leagues.
  • NBA Point Guard #1
A.J. Price (strep throat) will meet the Pacers in Boston for Friday’s game.
Price has missed the last two games with strep throat, but this news should not have relevance in your fantasy league.
  • NBA Point Guard #1
A.J. Price made the most of his 17 minutes off the Pacers’ bench on Saturday, scoring 13 points with two 3-pointers, two assists, two steals and one block.
The Nuggets were using some oddball lineups which may have caused the Pacers to mix-and-match, thus resulting in more action for Price. He’s plenty talented and would be fun to watch in heavy minutes, but hadn’t cracked 16 minutes in a game all season.
  • NBA Point Guard #1
A.J. Price (strep throat) was not listed on the injury report in advance of Friday’s game, and is listed as a DNP-CD in the box score.
We’re taking him off the injury report unless we get another report. Price has no value in fantasy leagues and his impact on the rotation is minimal.
  • NBA Point Guard #1
A.J. Price (illness) was unavailable for Tuesday’s game against Orlando.
This news should not impact your fantasy league as Price hasn’t seen more than 15 minutes in a game this year and is averaging 1.3 points per game.
  • NBA Point Guard #1
A.J. Price will be Darren Collison’s backup at point guard while George Hill (ankle) is out.
The Pacers will use Lance Stephenson to backup Paul George at shooting guard and Dahntay Jones behind Danny Granger at small forward. Frank Vogel said that Price will play between 12-16 minutes behind Collison, making him very unlikely to accumulate fantasy value in standard sized leagues.
