Pacman Jones is close to reaching a contract agreement with the Titans.
The two sides have agreed on length (five years) and guaranteed money (roughly $13 million). Once they handle some behavior clauses, this deal should get done - this weekend.

Adam ''Pacman’’ Jones’ court date has been set for August 11th.
Jones is charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of felony vandalism. If Jones is found guilty or pleads guilty to assault charges, he could be sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail for each charge. If convicted on the vandalism charge, he could get two to four years. He could also get probation on any or all of the charges.

Contrary to earlier reports, contract negotiations between the Titans and first-round pick Adam ''Pacman’’ Jones have stalled.
The deal is sticking on the behavior clauses that the Titans want in the deal. Jones will probably have to make significant concessions considering his recent legal history.

Adam ''Pacman’’ Jones’ agent, Michael Huyghue, is scheduled to meet with the Titans tomorrow and Friday.
''Mike knows what he is doing,’' Jones said. ''I have a lot of say-so, but I don’t let him decide on everything. If it was real close where I felt comfortable with it, I would do that.’'

Adam ''Pacman’’ Jones’ agent said he plans to meet with general manager Floyd Reese at some point this week.
Contract negotiations got no further over the weekend, but both sides hope a face-to-face meeting will speed things along. ''Sometimes face-to-face works a little better,’' agent Michael Huyghue said. ''The team hasn’t had a pick this high in a while so everyone’s expectations are very high and demanding and sometimes they forget this is a process and it takes a while. I would have hoped we would have gotten things done sooner, but unfortunately we were not able to. We’re still trying to get a deal done.’'

Adam ''PacMan’’ Jones is upset that his new teammates are showing a lack of loyalty when speaking about him.
Jones has decided to take on the team captain publicly. ''But then I have to hear Keith Bulluck talking about me, how he doesn’t even know who Pacman is... . But as far as the respect level off the field and me calling him for advice, that will never happen now... Keith has never been in the situation I am in — Keith ain’t never been drafted high.’' Nope, Pacman sure doesn’t need any advice. Everything’s under control.

Adam Jones’ agent is planning to file a countersuit against Robert Gaddy, ''Pacman’s’’ accuser in an upcoming trial.
Pacman’s agent will also engage in face-to-face contract talks with the Titans Thursday.

Pacman Jones and the Titans have agreed in principle to a five-year contract.
The Titans secondary needs him badly. ''Don’t call me Adam’’ could be on the field by practice Tuesday. If the deal goes through, Cedric Benson and David Pollack will be the only two remaining rookie holdouts.

Pacman Jones’ contract is for five-years, and includes $13.5 million in guaranteed money.
It also includes $7.7 million in bonuses over the first two years of the contract, but the money will be deferred. The deal is not official because the NFL and Players Association needs to approve the behavior clauses in the contract.
