Browns signed TE Sal Cannella, G Jack Conley, WR Luke Floriea, RB Ahmani Marshall, T Tyre Phillips and TE Caden Prieskorn to reserve/future contracts.
Cannella had a four-target game against the Steelers in Week 17 after Harold Fannin left early due to a groin injury, catching two balls for 11 yards. The 29-year-old UFL star is merely a depth piece.
  • CLE Guard #69
Browns signed G Cole Strange and WR Malachi Corley to their practice squad.
Strange picked a great landing spot after getting released yesterday, as the Browns have almost zero starting linemen with guaranteed contracts for 2026. Corley will look to develop his skills and could perhaps challenge for an end-of-roster spot later in the season. The Browns also added QB Bailey Zappe, TE Brendan Bates, TE Sal Cannella, WR Kaden Davis, S Christopher Edmonds, DT Ralph Holley, CB LaMareon James, DT Sam Kamara, RB Ahmani Marshall, DE Julian Okwara and RB Trayveon Williams to their practice squad.
  • CLE Running Back #23
Former freshman RB Ahmani Marshall transferred to Appalachian State.
Marshall (6'2"/210) was a three-star recruit in the 2020 class, the 71st RB and the 33rd ranked player out of North Carolina. He was buried down the depth chart at Wake Forest, getting just 23 carries this year. He’ll be moving on to play for the Mountaineers.

  • CLE Running Back #23
Wake Forest received a commitment from three-star 2020 RB Ahmani Marshall.
Marshall (6'1/207) is a top-75 running back recruit for the 2020 class, and he picked Wake Forest over Duke, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Kentucky. Marshall will join the Wake Forest depth chart in two seasons, and he should be in the mix for touches as a freshman since he’s built with 4.50-speed. The three-star running back plans to graduate early and enroll next January.
