Broncos signed Georgia Tech CB Ahmari Harvey.
Harvey (5'11/185), 23, spent one season at Auburn before transferring to Georgia Tech in 2022. He totaled 26 tackles, three TFLs, one sack and seven passes defended last year. He produced 15 bench press reps at the NFL Scouting Combine and opted out of the other tests, three of which he completed at Georgia Tech’s Pro Day, though the results were underwhelming, including a 9’8 broad jump. Harvey can contribute on special teams and will likely have to in order to make an NFL roster. He dislocated his right ankle last year.

Former Auburn freshman S Ahmari Harvey has committed to Georgia Tech.
Harvey (6'0/172) was a four-star safety from the 2021 recruiting class and was the no. 14 safety of his class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. This season, his first with Auburn, Harvey appeared on just one special teams snap according to Pro Football Focus, but should have a chance to see a more meaningful role in Georgia Tech’s secondary. Harvey wasn’t the only high-end recruit to enter the transfer portal and head to Georgia Tech. Former three-star safety Khari Gee, also of the 2021 recruiting class, committed to the Yellow Jackets earlier in the week after his lone season at Notre Dame.

Auburn freshman S Ahmari Harvey has entered the transfer portal.
Harvey (6'0/172) was a four-star recruit from the 2021 class, but he failed to suit up for any of Auburn’s 12 games in 2021. Auburn signed five new members to its secondary during last week’s early singing period, which likely helped sway Harvey into his decision to transfer. As a recruit, Harvey was the 14th ranked safety of his class, and the 214th ranked player nationally according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Harvey had several Power Five offers on the table, including offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Ole Miss.

Uncommitted four-star 2021 S Ahmari Harvey plans on announcing his pledge on Aug. 21.
Harvey (5'10/171) will be deciding between Auburn, Texas A&M and Florida State. While Auburn -- who just landed four-star WR Malcolm Johnson -- looks to hold the current lead in this race, we’ll note that the Tigers have yet to be able to host the Tallahassee native for a visit (due to the ongoing pandemic-forced dead period). He’s very much familiar with FSU simply due to proximity. On the 247Sports composite board, Harvey ranks as the No. 178 overall prospect in the 2021 class.
