Browns claimed TE Andre Smith off waivers from the Cowboys.
The team has also waived WR Brian Tyms and G/C Patrick Lewis. A third-year undrafted free agent, Smith appeared in three games for the Cowboys before getting cut loose. He’ll serve as blocking and special teams depth in Cleveland.

Bears waived TE Andre Smith, WR Kris Adams, DT Jordan Miller, and S Anthony Walters.
Both were undrafted rookies. Smith is a blocking specialist, for which Mike Martz has an affinity. The Bears appear poised to carry just three tight ends on the Week 1 roster: Starter Kellen Davis, Matt Spaeth, and Kyle Adams.
