That was Urias’ lone loss as he has a 3-1 record with a 1.90 ERA and .241 OBA over 23.2 innings. The Dodgers ace has 26 strikeouts to three walks, but struggled with a season-high eights hits allowed to the Cubbies.
Smyly’s teams are 1-3 in the last four meetings versus the Dodgers, including last year’s 7-0 loss at home versus the Dodgers. Smyly allowed six hits and three earned runs in 4.1 innings. In the most recent outing, Smyly turned in a efficient four hits allowed and one earned run over 5.2 innings.
If it wasn’t for back-to-back home runs allowed by Urias in the sixth inning on April 16, the Dodgers would have won that game at home. I’m betting on revenge at Wrigley for Urias.
