J.B. Bickerstaff told reporters on Tuesday that the Cavs will “lean heavily on [Rajon] Rondo” during the playoffs.
Bickerstaff even said that he is a believe in “Playoff Rondo”. While this doesn’t mean that the Cavs will be benching All-Star guard Darius Garland in favor of Rondo, it does likely mean that we’ll see a lot of minutes from him and very few from Brandon Goodwin. Rondo played 25 minutes in their last game, which was a blowout win over the Bucks. Before that, he was seeing around 14 minutes per game, and he’ll likely play around that amount while mirroring Garland’s minutes during the postseason.

Rajon Rondo (ankle) saw 14 minutes off the bench in his return to action on Sunday and finished with six points, one rebound, two assists, two triples and two steals in a loss to the 76ers.
This was Rondo’s first game in three weeks, but he was the first guard off the bench tonight, and completely erased Brandon Goodwin from the rotation. Rondo will likely have his minutes managed over Cleveland’s final three games, so he’s not a great target in most leagues.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) is expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.
Rondo has been out for a few games now, but he appears ready to make his return. He’ll serve as the backup point guard, which will drop Brandon Goodwin out of the rotation. Neither is worth rostering in any fantasy lineup.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Magic.
Rondo remaining sidelined won’t have much of an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Brandon Goodwin will continue to fill the backup role, and he isn’t worth streaming due to the presence of starter Darius Garland.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Lakers.
Rondo will remain sidelined for at least one more game, which keeps Brandon Goodwin in the backup point guard role. He won’t be worth streaming, as starter Darius Garland has logged heavy minutes in Rondo’s absence.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Pistons.
As expected Rondo will miss a fourth consecutive game, meaning Brandon Goodwin will continue to see an increase in minutes off the bench.

  • NBA Point Guard #1
Rajon Rondo is doubtful for Saturday’s clash with Detroit due to a right ankle sprain.
With Rondo unlikely to play, expect Brandon Goodwin to see increased minutes behind Darius Garland.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Nuggets.
Rondo missing another game won’t have an impact as far as fantasy is concerned. Brandon Goodwin will remain in the rotation as Darius Garland’s backup, and he isn’t worth playing in any fantasy league.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the 76ers.
Rondo will miss back-to-back games, meaning Brandon Goodwin will continue to backup Darius Garland. Rondo was only rostered in 2% of Yahoo Leagues so this news won’t affect anyone trying to win their league.

Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) played 17 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Bulls, tallying eight points (3-of-5 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), one rebound, and one assist.
Rondo sprained his ankle during the third quarter, with team trainers accompanying him back to the locker room towards the end of the frame. He did not return, and the question now is whether or not he’ll be available for Monday’s game against the Clippers. If not, look for Brandon Goodwin (two points in five minutes) to re-enter the rotation. Neither he nor Rondo is worth rostering in any league so long as Darius Garland is healthy.
