Brandon LaFell (back) was limited at Wednesday’s practice.
LaFell joined the Raiders a week ago but wasn’t active for Monday’s opener against the Rams. Even if he suits Sunday at Denver, the 31-year-old journeyman won’t be of much use to fantasy owners.

Brandon LaFell (back) wasn’t listed on the Raiders’ final injury report for Week 2 against the Broncos.
LaFell was limited to start the week but graduated to a full practice on Thursday, leading the Raiders to take him off their injury report. The ex-Bengal was a healthy scratch for Monday night’s opener after signing just a week earlier, but will likely make his Raiders debut Sunday at Denver.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Raiders signed Brandon LaFell to a one-year contract.
Set to turn 32 in November, LaFell meets the age threshold for Jon Gruden’s Raiders. The former Bengal has a good shot to earn the No. 3 job behind Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson at some point this season, but he is not worth a look except in the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Raiders declared WR Brandon LaFell, RB DeAndre Washington, DE Tank Carradine, OT T.J. Clemmings, OT Justin Murray, DT Brian Price, and CB Nick Nelson inactive for Week 1 against the Rams.
LaFell is a healthy scratch after signing with the Raiders one week ago. He may not know the playbook. Washington is recovering from a knee scope. Carradine is also a healthy inactive after starting 7-of-8 games last season and recording 1.5 sacks. Nelson, also healthy, is a fourth-round rookie.

Raiders declared WR Brandon LaFell, LB Shilique Calhoun, DL Tank Carradine, OT T.J. Clemmings, S Karl Joseph, OT Justin Murray and RB DeAndre Washington inactive for Week 4 against the Browns.
LaFell is a healthy scratch. CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (hamstring) and DT P.J. Hall (ankle) will both be active for Sunday’s home matchup against Cleveland.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Brandon LaFell has played 99-of-107 (92.5 percent) offensive snaps since the Raiders traded Amari Cooper.
Prior to the Cooper trade, Cooper played 40 snaps total and hadn’t been on the field since Week 3. All of the sudden, coach Jon Gruden has made LaFell his team’s No. 1 receiver. The 32-year-old has reeled in six passes for 59 yards and one touchdown on seven targets the last two weeks. Meanwhile, Martavis Bryant has played 28 snaps in that span. Bryant can safely be sent back to the wire, but LaFell doesn’t need to be owned outside of the deepest of leagues.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Brandon LaFell posted 20 yards by catching 3-of-3 targets in the Raiders’ Week 9 loss to the 49ers.
LaFell came onto the scene last week when he caught three of four targets, and the veteran receiver saw a similar workload in Week 9. It appears that LaFell will be tasked with partially filling the production Amari Cooper left behind, but he’s best left on the waiver wire.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Brandon LaFell chipped in with three catches for 39 yards and a touchdown on four targets Sunday in the Raiders’ Week 8 loss to the Colts.
LaFell punched in a six-yard touchdown late in the first half but was otherwise held in check. That was his first end-zone visit since joining Oakland last month. LaFell will likely take on a bigger role as the Raiders look to replace Amari Cooper, who was traded to Dallas last week. Still, he’s best left on the waiver wire.

Brandon LaFell hauled in 4-of-6 targets for 47 yards in the Raiders’ Week 10 loss to the Chargers.
Oakland’s No. 1 receiver at this point, non-Jared Cook division, LaFell started strong with four catches in the first half, but he could not corral either of his targets after the break. One of those was a bad route which almost resulted in an interception at the goal line. LaFell does not need to be rostered in most fantasy leagues.

Brandon LaFell is “feared” to have suffered a ruptured Achilles’ tendon in Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
LaFell skied for a jump ball win in the third quarter but immediately came down hobbled. It’s a huge loss for a team already missing Martavis Bryant and Jordy Nelson. LaFell had caught two passes for 29 yards before going down, finding the end zone for a five-yard score where he beat Patrick Peterson. LaFell is headed for an MRI.
