CBS’ Jason La Canfora reports the five-year-old child injured in a car accident with Chiefs LBs coach Britt Reid remains in critical condition with a brain injury.
Devastating. Reid himself also remains in the hospital with “internal” injuries. La Canfora reported on CBS’ “Super Bowl Today” that toxicology reports are not expected back for several weeks. Reid admitted to police that he had been drinking before the accident. The son of head coach Andy Reid, Reid is staring down the end of his coaching career and time in jail.

Two children, four and five years old, were in the backseat. Both were hospitalized, including one suffering life-threatening injuries. Police were able to smell alcohol on Reid’s person, and Reid admitted to having two or three drinks. The investigation is ongoing.
