Bills signed DT Nazair Jones, formerly of the Seahawks.
Jones was selected by the Seahawks in the third round of the 2017 draft. He played only 20 games across two seasons before losing all of 2019 to a knee injury. Jones was waived prior to the 2020 season and spent last year out of football. Now two years removed from injury, Jones may be in better position to earn a roster spot this season. The Bill also aded DT Eli Ankou and placed DE Bryan Cox on IR in a corresponding move.

Bills signed DE Bryan Cox, formerly of the Browns.
Cox wasn’t tendered an offer last month by Cleveland. In Buffalo, he will compete for a job behind entrenched DEs Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, A.J. Epenesa, and Quinton Jefferson. Cox registered his first career half-sack last season with the Browns. He’s appeared in 25 games.

Panthers DE Bryan Cox was arrested for speeding and possession of marijuana in North Carolina.
Not good for a player competing for a depth job. Cox was allegedly doing 90 MPH in a 65 zone and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A third-year UDFA, Cox has yet to register a sack across 18 career games.

Panthers signed Florida DL Bryan Cox Jr.
Cox (6’3/265) made 28 starts on the Gators’ defensive line, logging 21 career tackles for loss with 10 sacks and three forced fumbles. He is the son of three-time Pro Bowl LB Bryan Cox Sr., who spent 2016 as the Falcons’ defensive line coach. While Cox Jr.’s college production never stood out, he flashed an ability to win with power, physicality, and strength in the ACC and could become a useful reserve end-tackle hybrid. He does not project as much of a pass-rush threat in the pros.
