Dodgers sent LHP Charlie Barnes outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Barnes had been designated for assignment earlier in the week and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 30-year-old southpaw will stick around and continue to provide extra bullpen depth for the Dogers.

Dodgers selected the contract of LHP Charlie Barnes from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Barnes provides Los Angeles with some additional long relief depth heading into the final two games of a road series against the Phillies. The 30-year-old southpaw has allowed 11 runs over 12 innings in the big leagues this season. He can be ignored in all fantasy formats.

Dodgers optioned LHP Charlie Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City

Barnes was called up on Wednesday to help in the Dodgers’ bullpen game and gave up seven runs in seven innings of bulk relief work. He could be an option for bulk relief work later in the season.

After replacing Jack Dreyer to start the second, Charlie Barnes gave up seven runs in seven innings Wednesday to take a loss to the A’s.

He surrendered six runs in his first four innings, which probably would have gotten him pulled had the offense ever showed signs of getting back into the game. Since it didn’t, the Dodgers just let Barnes carry on and took the 7-1 loss. Barnes, who was called up before the game, will surely head back to Triple-A now.

Dodgers recalled LHP Charlie Barnes from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Barnes provides Los Angeles with a fresh relief arm, and some additional length in the process, prior to Wednesday’s bullpen game against the Athletics at hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. The 30-year-old southpaw has made three appearances between the Dodgers and Cubs this season.

Dodgers optioned LHP Charlie Barnes to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Barnes was just promoted from Triple-A on Friday, but after being used in back-to-back games he wasn’t going to be available on Sunday, so the Dodgers opted to swap him out for a fresh arm. The 30-year-old left-hander should get another chance with the big league club in relatively short order.
