Texans released WR Chester Rogers with an injury settlement.
Rodgers spent last season with the Titans after four seasons with the Colts. Had he stayed healthy, he may have had a chance to make the Texans roster as a slot receiver. He could reemerge as a depth option for another team once healthy.

Texans signed WR Chester Rogers, formerly of the Titans, to a one-year contract.
After spending his first four years with the Colts and last season with the Titans, Rogers only has one more squad to go to complete his AFC South bingo card. He managed 30 catches for 301 yards and one score for Tennessee last year. With little behind Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins on the depth chart, Rogers could earn a role in Houston’s offense.

Free agent WR Chester Rogers is visiting the Texans Monday night.
The 28-year-old has spent the duration of his five-year career in the AFC South, playing last season for the Titans after four with the Colts. He went 30-301-1 across 16 games in Tennessee last year and profiles more as a veteran slot type and punt returner.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Chester Rogers caught 1-of-3 targets for two yards in the Titans’ Week 12 loss to the Patriots.
With the Titans’ run game revved back up, Rogers had nothing to do as the Titans avoided the skies vs. the Patriots’ top-notch pass defense. Although A.J. Brown has now joined Julio Jones on injured reserve, Rogers will not be on the fantasy radar when the Titans come off bye in Week 14 against the Jaguars.

Chester Rogers caught 4-of-6 targets for 41 yards in Tennessee’s Week 11 loss to the Texans.
You know it’s a 2021 Titans loss when we have to blurb Chester Rogers. Rogers mainly took over for Marcus Johnson after Johnson’s hamstring injury and worked the middle of the field. He also hilariously had a ball bounce off his leg on a punt he wasn’t trying to return, gifting the ball to the Texans. If A.J. Brown’s status trends in a negative direction, Rogers could be an interesting volume play against a Patriots defense that could force the Titans to pass in Week 12.

Titans declared WR Chester Rogers, DB Chris Jackson, S Amani Hooker, LB Monty Rice, OLB John Simon, T Taylor Lewan and DE Amani Bledsoe inactive for Week 7 against the Chiefs.
Rodgers getting scratched is a good sign that A.J. Brown and Julio Jones are both healthy. Brown has been dealing with stomach issues while Jones is nursing a hamstring injury. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will serve as the team’s WR3.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Chester Rogers caught 5-of-6 targets for 63 yards in the Titans’ Week 4 loss to the Jets.
With A.J. Brown and Julio Jones out, Ryan Tannehill had to rely on other options. Rogers stepped up, averaging 10.5 yards per target and pacing Titans wideouts in yards. He’s still tough to trust even if Brown and Jones miss more time, and his value drops to zero if either or both of them return to the field.

    Dolphins released WR Chester Rogers.
The Miami Herald reported just 17 days ago that Rogers was a candidate for the team’s slot role following Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns’ opt outs, but the next two weeks of camp evidently did not go as planned. Rogers spent the past four years as a Colts reserve, catching 16 balls across a dozen 2019 appearances. 2020 is his age-26 campaign.

The Miami Herald considers Chester Rogers the leading candidate for the slot receiver job.
With Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns opting out, Rogers has a chance to step into three-wide sets despite not signing until training camp. Isaiah Ford and Gary Jennings are also slot options. It’s worth noting the Herald left return man Jakeem Grant off the list. None of the Dolphins receivers behind Preston Williams and DeVante Parker are fantasy relevant.

Dolphins signed WR Chester Rogers to a one-year contract.
The deal comes after Rogers worked out for Miami last week. With Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson both opted out, Rogers adds depth with a chance for a top-three role. Rogers fractured his kneecap in December but was healthy enough to pass a physical. He’ll compete with Jakeem Grant, Ricardo Louis, and Isaiah Ford for slot snaps in training camp.
