Getting ready for a long, relaxing Memorial Day weekend? Better make sure you’ve entered the Final Four ticket lottery first.
The NCAA sent out a release Wednesday reminding interested parties that the deadline to apply for 2012 Final Four tickets is May 31, the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Even for those who don’t slack off after the long weekend, the NCAA only accepts 20,000 applications. If they hit that number before Tuesday, you’re hosed.
(Anyone who missed out can try their luck with the NCAA Experience Program.)
And if it sounds like paying full price for tickets and submitting a nonrefundable handling fee just for a chance to get tickets, too bad. The Indiana Supreme Court says its’ acceptable.
