Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (glute) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 13 against the Vikings.
Walker played through the injury last weekend, out-touching RB Zach Charbonnet 14-6. With Holani (hamstring) sidelined, the team signed free agent RB Cam Akers earlier this week. The Seahawks are expected to control the game with a run-heavy game script against the Max Brosmer-led Vikings this weekend, which should yield fantasy goodness for Walker. He is an RB2.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (glute) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Walker was dealing with the glute issue last week, but played to the tune of 14 touches in Week 12. He starts out the week limited and is still trending to play Week 13. RB George Holani (hamstring) did not practice. The running back injuries have led the Seahawks to add Cam Akers; Holani may be out an extended period of time.

Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak said he wants to give RB Kenneth Walker III “more opportunities” but does not want to “discount” RB Zach Charbonnet and RB George Holani.
Kubiak also celebrated Walker’s improvement “as a practice player,” and for being “very intentional about the things we’re asking him to work on.” Kubiak’s initial statement leaves room for interpretation as to whether the team actually intends to increase Walker’s workload, though. Just yesterday, The Athletic’s Mike Dugar asked head coach Mike Macdonald about whether Walker had earned more work with his per-play efficiency, to which Macdonald said the team takes stats “into account,” but that they “have a plan for their RB usage.” Referring to Walker and Charbonnet, Macdonald added that both players are playing “high-level football” and that they will both keep being used. Until we see Walker significantly out-touch Charbonnet, we can only treat Kubiak’s comments as wishful thinking.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (foot) is doubtful for Week 3’s game against the Saints.
It’s a pity as it profiled to be a smash spot for Charbonnet as a large home favorite against the Saints. Kenneth Walker III will assume the lead back duties to whatever he’s capable of delivering, with George Holani in line for some work behind Walker.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (foot) did not practice on Thursday.
Charbonnet is now firmly on the wrong side of questionable. The Seahawks will likely be without their No. 2 running back, setting up Kenneth Walker III for a large workload against the Saints in Week 3. The Seahawks list RB George Holani in the No. 3 role, behind Charbonnet.

Seahawks signed Boise State RB George Holani.
Holani (5’10/208) is a fifth-year running back out of Boise State. After a 1,014-yard, seven-touchdown freshman year, he continued an efficient college career, averaging over 5.0 yards per carry in four of his five seasons. Despite the efficiency, Holani has dealt with lower-body injuries, most recently missing six games in his final season. He profiles as a quick-cut runner with pass-catching ability but lacks the explosiveness necessary to consistently get past NFL linebackers. Holani is unlikely to see much work anytime soon while playing behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

Boise State redshirt sophomore RB George Holani rushed 14 times for 114 yards in Saturday’s 37-0 rout of New Mexico.
Holani (5'11/205) had an upper-body injury sideline him for several weeks back in October. Upon his return, the Bellflower, Calif. native has been on fire, going for three consecutive 100-yard games, including a 186 total scrimmage yardage performance on Nov. 6 at Fresno State. He’ll look to hit the century mark for the fourth consecutive game next Saturday at San Diego State. It will be his first-career appearance against the Aztecs.

Boise State redshirt sophomore RB George Holani rushed 20 times for 102 yards and a touchdown in a 23-13 win over Wyoming on Friday night.
After a great game last week against Fresno State, Holani (5'11/205) had another solid game for the Broncos. On the second drive of the game, Holani took the first play 38-yards that eventually set up the Broncos first touchdown of the game. This was the second-straight 100 yard game for Holani, who looks fully healthy from his torn ACL last October. The Broncos face off against New Mexico next Saturday.

  • SEA Running Back #36
Boise State redshirt sophomore RB George Holani rushed 22 times for 117 yards in Saturday’s 40-14 win over Fresno State.
Holani (5'11/205) drew the lion’s share of the touches in this game, as he averaged 5.6 yards per carry in this one, and also hauled in a 40-yard reception on the day to finish with two catches for 69 yards. Holani has only appeared in five games this season after missing several games with an undisclosed lower body injury. He was eased back into the fold last week against Colorado State, but appeared ready to shoulder the load in this one. Boise State hosts Wyoming next Friday night.

  • SEA Running Back #36
Boise State redshirt sophomore RB George Holani (lower body) will be on a snap count for Saturday’s game against Colorado State.
With Holani (5'11/205) and Cyrus Habibi-Likio both nursing injuries, the Broncos are not at full strength heading into Saturday’s game. Both are available to play but, in the case of Holani, his reps will be limited. This could mean more action for Andrew Van Buren, who has primarily been used as a short-yardage back this season.
