Panthers signed WR Ainias Smith, G Ja’Tyre Carter, G Saahdiq Charles, WR Dan Chisena, RB Montrell Johnson, OLB Jamil Muhammad, LB Maz Mwansa, TE Bryce Pierre, WR Ja’seem Reed, S Demani Richardson, RB Anthony Tyus, LB Jacoby Windmon, LB Jared Bartlett, CB Tyrek Funderburk and G Joshua Gray to reserve/futures deals.
The former fifth-round Eagles wideout did not have any NFL playing time in 2024 after a 7/41/1 debut for the Eagles in 2024. He spent the whole year with the Panthers practice squad and could have a chance to battle with lower-rung receivers like Brycen Tremayne for a roster spot in 2026.
  • FA Quarterback #16
    Panthers released QB Bryce Perkins.
Perkins was signed following Andy Dalton’s elbow injury, so we take Perkins’ release as a positive regarding Dalton’s recovery. The Panthers also waived CB Mello Dotson, CB JaTravis Broughton, S Isaac Gifford, OG Luke Kandra, OG Steven Loyosa, WR TJ Luther, RB Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams, OLB J.J. Weaver and ILB Jacoby Windmon.
  • CAR Linebacker #41
Michigan State has received a verbal commitment from 2022 junior LB transfer Jacoby Windmon.
Windmon (6'2/230) was a three-star recruit from the 2019 recruiting class and the 92nd ranked linebacker in 247Sports’ composite rankings. He enjoyed a breakout season with UNLV in 2021, piling up 112 tackles and seven sacks per Pro Football Focus. Windmon played out his final game of the 2021 season in Week 13 against Air Force, where he totaled a season high 18 tackles against the run-heavy Falcons offense. In three seasons at UNLV, Windmon totaled 14 sacks and 29 quarterback pressures. He announced his intent to transfer on November 30th, and visited with Michigan State just days after receiving an offer from them. Windmon also received an offer from TCU, but he is now set to join the Spartans in 2022.
