    Cowboys waived G Nick Broeker.
Broeker was active for the Texans in three games in 2023 and nine games in 2024, bouncing between the Steelers and Cowboys this offseason. He’ll be a candidate for a practice-squad spot as teams look to shore up their offensive lines. The Cowboys also let go of: DT Denzel Daxon, WR Josh Kelly, TE Tyler Neville , CB Troy Pride, TE John Stephens Jr. and CB Christian Matthew.
  • DAL Wide Receiver
    Cowboys signed WR Josh Kelly.
Kelly (6’1/186) is a sixth-year prospect who didn’t break out until his fifth collegiate season when he caught 63 passes for 933 yards and eight touchdowns at Washington State. He then transferred to Texas Tech for his final season, where he led the team with 123 targets while posting a 90-1,052-5 line. It’s been a productive two-year stretch for Kelly, who turns 24 this summer, but concerns over his athleticism and inability to separate will follow him to the pros. The fact that he ran a 4.70 40-yard dash at the combine certainly didn’t do him any favors. His productive 2024 campaign at Texas Tech came on the heels of a career-low 7.3 ADOT, as 65.9 percent of his targets traveled fewer than 10 air yards. While he may get a chance to compete for a roster spot in camp, there’s a chance his lack of speed and separation skills will make him more of a practice squad candidate.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #85
Fresno State sophomore WR Josh Kelly racked up five grabs for a game-high 107 yards in Saturday’s 30-20 win at San Diego State.
Kelly (6'2/182) posted his third 100-yard game of the season, and first since Fresno State’s epic 40-37 upset at UCLA back on Sept. 18. He has some nice yardage totals this season, but he hasn’t found the end zone in the past six contests dating back to Sept. 11 against FCS Cal Poly. He’ll look to keep up the good work next Saturday when Boise State heads to The Valley.

  • HOU Wide Receiver #85
Fresno State sophomore WR Josh Kelly posted eight grabs for 120 yards in Saturday’s 40-37 win at UCLA.
Kelly (6'2/182) has posted at least 120 receiving yards in each of the past two games, and he has three or more receptions in all four outings this season. He and Jalen Cropper give QB Jake Haener a pair of impressive playmakers in the offense, and they’re going to be a hard triumvirate to stop as long as they can stay healthy. Fresno State will be heavy favorites next week against UNLV on Friday, and they should put up big numbers yet again.

  • HOU Wide Receiver #85
Fresno State WR Josh Kelly leads the team in receiving yards with 111 in 31-24 loss to Oregon.
Kelly was a big factor in helping move the ball with big plays. His first catch would be a 39-yard reception to convert a third-down, then the following play a 12-yard catch that put the Bulldogs in the red zone.

Kelly helped Fresno State get back in this game early in the second half. Haener threw a 16-yard pass to Kelly to get Bulldogs on Oregon’s seven-yard line, following a five-yard Ducks penalty, Haener would get the two-yard rushing touchdown, convert the two-point conversion and tie the game at 21.

Kelly and the Bulldogs will host Cal Poly on Saturday 9/11
