Mere hours after word first surfaced that West Virginia’s Branko Busick had been arrested in connection to an armed robbery in Morgantown Monday evening, the linebacker has been dismissed from the football program. One of the alleged victims in the armed robbery told police that Busick entered his residence, pointed a gun at the individuals in the residence and demanded money. When he was told they had no money, Busick allegedly beat an unnamed male with his weapon and forced him out into the street. Busick was still in residence when police arrived. After being identified as the perpetrator, he was placed under arrest.
Busick was ultimately released from jail on a $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 1.
Busick, who would have been a redshirt sophomore in 2011, played in two games last season. He was listed as the co-No. 2 middle linebacker on the last depth chart released by Holgorsen.
