BUTLER BLASTS HIGH SCHOOL COACH, WEBSITE STOPS CHARGING

Well, my personal hiatus of posting Bryce Brown / Brian Butler posts is over. (Banging head against desk...)That’s because Thayer Evans has updated the New York Times blog The Quad with mention that PotentialPlayers.com will no longer be charging for Bryce Brown updates, and will instead hope that all the free updates will drive traffic and advertising revenue. Evans mentioned that the subscription fees netted Butler less than $200.In addition to waiving his subscription fee, Butler has also fired back at some of the recent media attention, and has a new article on his website that goes into detail about all the recent attention (surprise, surprise). His most pointed criticism is for Brown’s high school coach Brian Byers, who Butler claims “inherited the top two players in the country (Arthur Brown Jr. and Bryce Brown) when he took over the job in the spring of 2007.” Butler also goes on to insinuate that Byers only got the head coaching job because of his relationship with the Wichita East athletic director, and that the Witchita East coaching staff stole all of the players free Gatorade.BOMB SHELL!!!"ESPN provided enough Gatorade for both teams to have during the game. We drank water while Dodge City players drank Gatorade. Our coaches brought the Gatorade packets back to their office and were drinking Gatorade at practice everyday until it was gone. The players received none,” Bryce Brown said.Saying that a coach got a job because of his friendship with the AD is one thing, but to insinuate that coaches drank free Gatorade ALL SEASON and the poor impoverished Wichita East players were forced to drink water and stare longingly at the gallons of Lemon-Lime and Riptide Rush that their evil coaches drank in front of them? This could get ugly.
