A little more than a month after performing an act that often results in the loss of life, former Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth is being credited with performing an act that often times saves one.Although the details are somewhat sketchy at this time, the Daily Oklahoman is reporting that Bosworth administered CPR to to an unknown man in distress in a parking lot. According to the report, Bosworth continued administering CPR until an ambulance arrived. There is no word yet on the victim’s condition or what issue forced Bosworth to perform CPR.Bosworth was in Oklahoma City giving a lecture to high school students on the dangers of drunk driving. The lecture was part of the community service Bosworth was ordered to perform after being charged with drunk driving himself on March 6."He had been at West for an assembly about drunk driving,” said Nancy Kuntz, assistant athletic director at the school where Bosworth had just given his DD speech. “I left school and was going south on Council and around 16th Street, there was a long line of cars. I saw this motorcycle come between the lanes to the front. And when I saw who was driving, I thought, ‘that’s him.’"Then I drove ahead, and I just happened to look over, and in the parking lot, there was a pick-up, two men standing there and a man laid out on the ground. I did a U-turn, and when I drove back, Bosworth was giving CPR to the man. It’s unclear at this time why Bosworth failed to perform the very same life-saving technique on his own movie career when it was pronounced DOA in the early 1990’s.
