Commanders signed WR Ja’Corey Brooks, CB Tre Hawkins, DE D.J. Johnson, WR Jacoby Jones, DE TJ Maguranyanga, S Rob McDaniel, T Tim McKay, CB Darius Rush, CB Car’lin Vigers, G Sala Aumavae-Laulu and DT Ricky Barber to reserve/future contracts.

In case you’re wondering, it’s not former Texans/Ravens wideout Jacoby Jones, but a wholly different Jacoby Jones who came out of UCF as an undrafted free agent in 2025. This Jones ran a 4.68s 40-yard-dash and is more of a special teamer who hangs around the roster. Glad we could clear that up for you. And us. But mainly you.

Former Western Kentucky redshirt freshman DL Ricky Barber Jr. transferred to UCF.

Barber Jr. (6'3/295) started every game last season, recording 51 tackles, 4.0 sacks, 27 hurries and one forced fumble, earning a strong PFF defensive grade of 80.2. A sure tackler, he only missed one potential tackle opportunity in 37 opportunities while recording 30 stops. He will be an immediate contributor on the defensive line for the Golden Knights and his presence will be sorely missed by WKU.
