Giants signed RHP Daniel Alvarez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Alvarez spent the first six years of his pro career in the Yankees’ minor league system, capped off by an impressive 2.29 ERA and 76/23 K/BB ratio in 59 innings of relief between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2019. The 24-year-old right-hander may prove to be a nice find for San Francisco.
