Giants C David Baas has restructured his contract.
It’s believed he’s agreed to convert $2.1 million of his $3 million 2012 salary into a bonus. Baas struggled with injury last season after signing a five-year, $27.5 million deal, playing poorly as he appeared in just 11 games.
  • Running Back
Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) has been ruled out of the Giants’ Week 9 matchup with the Patriots.
We know that surgery is not an option right now, but Bradshaw’s long-term status will be touchy until reports start to clear up. Brandon Jacobs is in line for 15-18 touches with D.J. Ware and Da’Rel Scott in change-of-pace roles. Center David Baas (knee) has also been ruled out, and the interior run game will suffer a bit with backup Kevin Boothe at the helm.

Giants C David Baas (headaches) hinted Wednesday that his season may be in jeopardy.
It’s still unclear exactly what is wrong with Baas, as his condition is much more serious than simple headaches. He’s undergoing extensive testing this week. Kevin Boothe filled in at center last week and Mitch Pietrus stepped in at left guard.

Giants C David Baas (neck, headaches) has resumed practicing.
Baas has missed the Giants’ past three games with headaches brought on by a neck issue. Barring a setback, he’ll most likely return to the starting lineup for this Saturday’s must-win game against the Jets, though coach Tom Coughlin has remained mum on his center’s status.
  • NYG Guard #76
Giants RG Chris Snee (hip surgery) and C David Baas (elbow surgery) are both expected to practice on the first day of training camp.
Snee has been working out individually for nearly two months, but is still wearing a heavy wrap around his hip. Baas is continuing to recover from elbow and knee injuries. Coach Tom Coughlin said he anticipates both will be able to resume football activities by the start of training camp.

Giants signed C Jim Cordle from their practice squad.
Cordle is getting the call for depth purposes with David Baas nursing a stinger injury this week. Per the New York Daily News, Baas’ is in doubt for this week, but the injury is not believed to be long-term.

Giants C David Baas (burner) is expected to return for Sunday’s game against the Bills.
Baas’ return is good news for Ahmad Bradshaw. Backup Kevin Boothe was a downgrade as the G-Men struggled to open holes against the Seahawks last week.

Giants C David Baas left Sunday’s Week 4 game against Arizona early in the third quarter with a burner.
His return is questionable. Kevin Boothe, a sizable downgrade, will play until Baas returns.

Giants C David Baas (burner) doesn’t expect his injury “to be a long-term thing.”
Baas went down in the second quarter and didn’t return. He was replaced by Kevin Boothe, who quickly gave up a strip sack to Cardinals rookie backup DT David Carter. The G-Men have a Week 5 gimme in a home game against the Seahawks.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin says C David Baas is recovering from surgery “on his body.”
Illuminating. Baas appeared in all 16 games last season, so it’s unclear what might be ailing him. It was more than likely just a cleanup procedure.
