Colts signed Sam Houston State DB Dax Swanson.
Swanson (5-foot-10, 186) is a favorite of CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler, who pegged him as a pre-draft sleeper. He set Sam Houston’s school record for career interceptions (14) and picked off Johnny Manziel as a senior. Lacking strong measurables, smallish Swanson has short arms (30 3/8") and ran 4.56 in Indy. He still offers some potential as a poor man’s Earl Thomas. Swanson will try to carve out a role on special teams with the Colts.
