Rams waived RB Quinn Porter, DB Nate Ness, DT John Henderson, TE DeMarco Cosby, and CB Chris Smith.

Teams can carry 90 men on the offseason roster and the Rams might be the most talent-poor club in football, so these moves bode poorly for these players’ long-term outlooks. Porter, a former undrafted rookie running back out of Stillman College, saw some time on St. Louis’ active roster last season.

Packers signed TE DeMarco Cosby, formerly of the Rams.

An undrafted free agent out of Central Missouri last season, Cosby made it to the Rams’ final cuts. He failed to draw any interest following the start of the season, however. The signing doesn’t speak to Jermichael Finley’s (concussion) status, as Finley is expected to resume practicing Tuesday. Cosby is just a camp body.

    Rams waived TE DeMarco Cosby.

The Rams will move forward with four tight ends on the roster, for now: Michael Hoomanawanui, Lance Kendricks, Billy Bajema, and Ben Guidugli. Guidugly, of course, could be waived later today or before the season.
