Danilo Gallinari (rest) has been ruled out of Saturday’s game vs. the Blazers.
Gallo has been playing very well of late, averaging 25.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 treys over OKC’s previous five contests. Yet, he’ll get a night off on the backend of a back-to-back. Darius Bazley started in place of Gallo the last time he was unavailable back on Jan. 7. However, Bazley logged just 15 minutes in that contest. But with Terrance Ferguson (illness) and Abdel Nader also ruled out, OKC will be shorthanded Saturday. Hamidou Diallo and Deonte Burton will see a significant uptick in playing time.
  • SAC Guard #17
Dennis Schroder (ankle) is questionable for Saturday’s game vs. the Hornets.
This is a new injury for Schroder, who scored 20 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes against Memphis on Thursday. Schroder is averaging 30 minutes per game on the season, so there will be plenty of playing time up for grabs if he is ruled out. Chris Paul may be asked to shoulder a bit more of the load offensively, while Deonte Burton and Abdel Nader would likely divvy up additional minutes.
  • SAC Guard #17
Dennis Schroder (personal) practiced on Thursday and should be ready to go vs. the Jazz on Friday.
Schroder missed two games after the birth of his child, but there was never any thought he’d sit out after the break. Deonte Burton and Raymond Felton both take a backseat with Schroeder back in his sixth-man role.
  • SAC Guard #17
Dennis Schroder (personal) is listed ‘out’ for Thursday’s game vs. the Pelicans.
Schroder is celebrating the birth of his child and he’ll be able to do so through the All-Star break. Deonte Burton and Raymond Felton will pick up the slack in his absence on Thursday.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #34
    Suns sign G Deonte Burton.
Burton will join the Suns on a non-guaranteed contract and hope to earn a roster spot in training camp. Even if the 24-year-old is able to play his way onto the Suns roster, he won’t provide any fantasy value.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #34
The Suns have waived G Deonte Burton.
Burton wasn’t at training camp, and never really had a legitimate chance of making the team. He’ll likely join up with Phoenix’s D-League affiliate in Bakersfield, but there’s no fantasy value to be had here.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #34
The Kings have agreed to sign undrafted PG Deonte Burton.
Burton played four years with Nevada, culimating in last season’s averages of 20.1 points on 47.1 percent shooting, 4.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He doesn’t have great 3-point range but he’s strong, athletic and capable in pick-and-rolls, which gives him a chance to make the roster as a backup PG behind Darren Collison and Ray McCallum.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #34
The Kings waived G Deonte Burton on Sunday.
Burton was originally signed as a guy to be emergency depth behind Darren Collison and Ray McCallum, however, once Ramon Sessions was acquired there was really no reason to have a fourth point guard on the roster.
