Colts signed LB Austin Ajiake to a one-year contract extension.
An exclusive rights free agent, Ajiake had 32 tackles and played 70 percent of the Colts special teams snaps this year. He also saw some sparse time at linebacker, with 157 defensive snaps over 16 games. The Colts also agreed to terms with RB Ulysses Bentley IV, CB Wyett Ekeler, DE Viliami Fehoko Jr., G LaDarius Henderson, QB Seth Henigan, T Bayron Matos, C Jimmy Morrissey, TE Sean McKeon, S Trey Washington, WR Coleman Owen, DT Tim Smith, G Bill Murray, DE Durell Nchami, S Ben Nikkel, WR Eli Pancol and G Josh Sills on reserve/future contracts.

  • IND Defensive End #74
Maryland redshirt sophomore LB Durell Nchami (leg) will miss this week’s game against Minnesota.
Nchami missed the entire 2019 season with an ACL injury, so he is no stranger to missing time due to lower leg injuries. However, Nchami probably will not be out for as long as he was last year. He will miss Friday’s game against Minnesota as a clear and definite scratch, though. Nchami injured himself in the opener against Northwestern before he could record a statistic.

  • IND Defensive End #74
Maryland sophomore LB Durell Nchami has been ruled out for the season after suffering a torn ACL in Saturday’s scrimmage.
Nchami (6'4/250) is one of the more experienced linebackers that the Terrapins have, so to lose him for the season hurts. As a freshman he appeared in ten of Maryland’s 12 games, finishing the season with 15 total tackles (4.5 for loss), one sack, one pass defensed and one blocked kick. Clemson transfer Shaq Smith and Keandre Jones remain solid options to use at the JACK linebacker spot, but due to the lack of depth HC Mike Locksley said on Tuesday that there may be times when the team switches from DC Jon Hoke’s preferred 3-4 scheme to a 4-3.
