    Seahawks signed FB Eddie Williams.
A seventh-round pick of the Redskins in 2009, Williams was signed off the Browns’ practice squad. He has never appeared in an NFL game. He’ll fill in for Michael Robinson at fullback, who could be out for as long as two months after suffering a high-ankle sprain on Sunday.

Browns promoted FB Eddie Williams from their practice squad.
He’ll slot in behind rookie Owen Marecic. Williams is a sort of H-back type with some lead blocking experience. He won’t be getting the football much.

    Browns waived/injured FB Eddie Williams.
He’ll revert to injured reserve when he clears waivers. A seventh-round pick of the Redskins in 2009, Williams has appeared in just six career games, three of which came with the Browns last season.

    Seahawks waived FB Eddie Williams.
With Matt McCoy injuring a knee Sunday, the Seahawks needed Williams’ roster spot to re-sign special teamer David Vobora. Williams had been filling in for Michael Robinson (ankle) at fullback.

The Bears will work out free agent FB Eddie Williams on Friday.
The fifth-year pro hasn’t appeared in a game since 2011. Williams would serve as camp depth for troublemaking FB/TE Evan Rodriguez.

Redskins signed seventh-round pick Eddie Williams to a multi-year contract.
Williams (6'1/239) caught 54 passes for 687 yards and six TDs as a senior tight end at Idaho. He has the look of an H-back and will try to make the Skins at fullback behind Mike Sellers. Williams isn’t much of a tailback option.

Redskins rookie FB Eddie Williams is a project at this point.
Considering Mike Sellers is still going strong, it’s unlikely Williams will get on the field anytime soon. He’s coming off a knee ligament injury and hasn’t practiced with the Redskins yet.

Redskins signed FB Eddie Williams to their active roster.
Williams will take Chris Samuels’ spot on the roster and help out on special teams. He could also serve as a blocking tight end with Chris Cooley out. The seventh-round pick isn’t a ball carrier.

Redskins FB Eddie Williams (broken fibula) will be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
Williams was a special teamer and backup to Mike Sellers. It’s not a big loss, but the Redskins’ mile-long injury list is getting comical. Williams will try to get healthy enough to compete for a spot in 2010 training camp.
