Just 18 holes a day is seldom enough golf to satisfy my itch on golf trips. I’ve played up to 54 holes in a day (courtesy of the long summer days of northern Michigan).
At many resorts where multiple golf courses are the main draw, it feels almost silly to only play one round on a beautiful morning, followed by spending the remainder of the afternoon drinking beer by the pool waiting for the following morning to come. They’ve become a go-to source for golf resorts coast-to-coast. With rounds and occupancy rates down at a lot of resorts, they’ve been left with the option to either offer discounts on 18 holes, or charge full boat but let guests golf til’ they drop – and many resorts seem to prefer the latter.
If you’re planning a trip to a resort with multiple golf courses like Pinehurst, Sea Island, Boyne Highlands or Horseshoe Bay (just to name several of what’s becoming scores of golf resorts offering unlimited golf), chances are they’ve jumped aboard the bandwagon, so be sure to ask about it if 18 holes is never enough for your group.
