Missouri redshirt junior RB Henry Josey will forego his final year of eligibility and enter the NFL draft.
Josey was hugely productive in Missouri’s spread attack, averaging 7.01 yards over 395 career carries, but has a devastating knee injury on his résumé. He’s also a slight 5-foot-10, 195 pounds, and faced no shortage of soft fronts during his time in Columbia. Rotoworld’s Josh Norris doesn’t expect Josey to draw interest before day three of the draft.
  • FA Running Back #33
Former Eagles, Jaguars, and Vikings RB Henry Josey signed with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts.
After tearing up last preseason with the Eagles to the tune of 6.6 YPC, Josey was part of final cuts and has since had stints with the Jaguars and Vikings, though he’s never appeared in a regular-season game. Small at 5'8/194, Josey will take his 4.43 wheels to the pass-happy CFL. He caught 175 passes at Mizzou.
  • FA Running Back #33
    Vikings released RB Henry Josey.
Josey opened eyes last preseason for the Eagles, averaging a whopping 6.6 yards per carry on 34 attempts. But he lost out to Chris Polk for a roster spot there and was subsequently added/dropped by the Jags and now Vikings.
  • FA Running Back #33
Eagles signed Missouri RB Henry Josey.
Josey (5-foot-8 1/8, 194) missed the 2012 season with multiple ligament and meniscus tears in his left knee, before making an impressive 2013 return that saw him rush 174 times for 1,166 yards (6.7 YPR) and 16 touchdowns as a redshirt junior. Josey managed 24 career receptions and obviously lacks feature back size, but is an explosive mover with 4.43 wheels and a 9-foot-10 broad jump. To become a real NFL asset, Josey will have to make major strides both as a special teamer and pass protector. He’s a bit of a long shot, but easy to root for considering his resiliency. The Eagles also added Toldeo RB David Fluellen as a UDFA.
  • FA Running Back #33
Eagles UDFA RB Henry Josey rushed eight times for 56 yards and caught a 27-yard touchdown pass in Philly’s second preseason game Friday night.
An explosive scatback with 4.43 wheels, Josey impressed in his opportunity at significant playing time with Matthew Tucker and David Fluellen both on the shelf. Josey is a good fit for Chip Kelly’s offense, which springs backs into space. He’s a prime candidate to land on Philadelphia’s practice squad.
  • FA Running Back #33
Jaguars signed RB Henry Josey to their practice squad.
Josey shredded the preseason, averaging 6.6 YPC in Philadelphia. He ran 4.43 at the Combine, but stands 5-foot-8, 194, and will likely be viewed as a change-of-pace prospect at the bottom of Jacksonville’s tailback depth chart. Per ESPN’s Adam Caplan, Josey chose signing with the Jags over the Redskins.
  • FA Running Back #33
Eagles UDFA Henry Josey rushed four times for 48 yards in Thursday’s preseason game against the Steelers, adding one catch for eight yards.
The big night came despite the fact that Josey had a 70-yard touchdown nullified by an extremely dubious holding penalty on B.J. Cunningham. A scatback with 4.43 wheels who made a living on big plays at Mizzou, Josey has now racked up 139 yards from scrimmage on only 15 touches this preseason. He’s still on the outside looking in of the Eagles’ 53-man roster, but is shaping up as an intriguing practice-squad stash.
  • FA Running Back #33
    Eagles waived RB Henry Josey.
The Eagles may want to stash Josey on their practice squad, but he is a waiver claim candidate after averaging 6.6 YPC in the preseason and running 4.43 at the Combine. Josey is a dynamic if undersized change-of-pace prospect.
  • FA Running Back #33
Vikings signed RB Henry Josey off the Jaguars practice squad.
It’s a nice speculative pickup for a Vikings team that just gave up on Ben Tate. Josey opened eyes in the preseason for the Eagles, rushing 34 times for 225 yards (6.58 YPC) and adding 3-39-1 through the air. The UDFA scatback out Missouri of ran a 4.43 at the Combine.
  • FA Running Back #33
Vikings declared RB Henry Josey, S Ahmad Dixon, CB Shaun Prater, LB Chad Greenway, LB Brandon Watts, OL Carter Bykowski, and OG David Yankey inactive for Week 17 against the Bears.
The Vikings have just two running backs active today: Matt Asiata and Joe Banyard. The Vikings grabbed Josey off waivers late in the season and will carry him on their offseason roster. He’s a highly explosive scatback type.
