The Colts may be forced to start two rookies at guard this week.
Right guard Tupe Peko will miss the game with an ankle sprain. Left guard Rick DeMulling might miss a second straight game with a bruised chest. Bad news for the Indy offense and Edgerring James especially.

The Titans have had no contract talks with free agent RG Jake Scott.
It’s been clear for some time that jettisoning the 31-year-old Scott will be part of the Titans’ overhaul on the interior of the offensive line. If the Titans are serious about the upgrade, they will clean house at right guard and center as well.

Free agent OG Jake Scott will reportedly visit the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Scott was the one interior lineman in Tennessee to hold his own last season, grading out as a top-six pass-blocking guard, according to Pro Football Focus. Even if the Cardinals don’t land Peyton Manning, they need to keep the quarterback clean in 2012.

Free agent OG Jake Scott visited the Dolphins on Saturday.
Scott graded out as one of the top pass-blocking guards by Pro Football Focus, and has started 124 consecutive games in four years with the Titans. He would provide an upgrade on 2011 starters Vernon Carey and Richie Incognito in Miami. His only other known visit this offseason was with the Cardinals.

The player rep for free agent RG Jake Scott insists the Titans would “love to have him back” depending on how his market deveolops.
This, despite the fact that the Titans elected not to make Scott an offer ahead of free agency and “haven’t asked” Scott for a proposal. Unless the Titans completely whiff on upgrading their interior line, Scott will not be back in 2012.

Coach Mike Munchak suggested the Titans will not use their first-round pick on an offensive lineman this year.
They’re purely looking for interior prospects after LG Leroy Harris, free agent RG Jake Scott, and C Eugene Amano comprised the least effective trio in the NFL last season. Scott won’t be back in 2012, and the Titans may look to upgrade at the other two spots. Wisconsin C Peter Konz, Stanford OG David DeCastro, and Georgia G/T Cordy Glenn are the top interior prospects.

The Miami Herald reports free agent OG Jake Scott is “under consideration” for the Dolphins after they placed RG Artis Hicks on injured reserve Tuesday.
Coming off another solid season in Tennessee, Scott has worked out for the Dolphins twice in the past six months. Scott would almost certainly send John Jerry back to the bench in Miami.

Free agent OG Jake Scott visited the Dolphins, Lions and Ravens last week.
Scott’s Dolphins visit was his second. He hadn’t made any visits in over two months. A 16-game starter each of the past seven seasons, Scott should latch on somewhere before camp.

Eagles signed OG Jake Scott and waived OL Julian Vandervelde.
Scott, an eight-year veteran, spent the previous four seasons with the Titans. He garnered plenty of interest on the open market in the offseason but was reportedly not willing to accept the veteran’s minimum. Scott graded out as a top-10 guard in 2011, according to Pro Football Focus.

Seeking more than the veteran minimum, free agent OG Jake Scott has turned down several offers from teams throughout the offseason and training camp.
“I’m not angry,” said Scott. “This is my decision. It is a business and it is my decision not to be on a team right now.” Scott started 121 consecutive games through 2011 and graded out as a top-10 guard by Pro Football Focus last season. Titans RG Leroy Harris, his replacement, was yanked late in the opener in favor of Kevin Matthews.
