Packers DE Mike Neal is out indefinitely after undergoing a surgical operation on his left knee this week.
Coach Mike McCarthy characterized Neal’s timetable for return as “considerable,” which doesn’t sound good. McCarthy did say Neal isn’t an I.R. candidate yet. Jarius Wynn acquitted himself well at right end in the opener, racking up four tackles (three solo), and a sack. Wynn will remain the starter.

Packers DE Jarius Wynn has been labeled the “unsung hero” for his two drive-killing sacks against the Bears in Week 3.
Lining up opposite dominant left end Ryan Pickett, Wynn has severely outplayed C.J. Wilson through three games. Wynn and Picket are ranked second and third among 3-4 defensive ends in Pro Football Focus’ run defense rankings early this season.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel suggests that the Packers could use “as many as one-third” of their 12 draft picks to upgrade the pass rush.
The Packers will focus on shoring up the “front five” of their 3-4 defense, which includes three defensive linemen and two outside linebackers. Currently penciled in as starters, DE Jarius Wynn and OLB Brad Jones will have their hands full in camp. Cornerback, quarterback, safety, and tailback are also listed as needs. In his latest mock draft, Rotoworld’s Evan Silva has the Packers taking Alabama LB Courtney Upshaw with pick No. 28.

Packers DE Jarius Wynn has battled a mild case of Bell’s Palsy for the past two weeks.
Bell’s Palsy causes paralysis or weakness in one side of the face, coming on suddenly before correcting itself in a matter of weeks. Thanks to an antibiotic, a light steroid, and a dark visor on his helmet, Wynn is back to full participation in practice this week.

Packers released DE Jarius Wynn and FB Jon Hoese.
Wynn had been battling a mild case of Bell’s Palsy this summer, but he wasn’t given an injury designation here. He simply fell behind the likes of Jerel Worthy and Phillip Merling on the depth chart.

The Titans are interested in signing free agent DE Jarius Wynn.
Wynn was released by the Packers after failing to beat out Philip Merling for the backup defensive end job. The Titans are considering adding Wynn as a strict-reserve and situational pass rusher.
  • FA Linebacker
    Titans signed DE Jarius Wynn.
Wynn has been on the street since losing out to Phillip Merling at final cuts in Green Bay. He brings 36 games of experience and 4.5 sacks to the table. Look for Wynn to fill a situational pass rushing role for the Panthers. He takes the spot of Pannel Egboh, who was released on Tuesday.

Chargers signed DE Jarius Wynn to a one-year contract.
Released by the Packers at final cuts last season, Wynn ended up appearing in seven games for the Titans, notching six tackles. He’ll look to latch on as a situational pass rusher behind Kendall Reyes and Corey Liuget. Wynn, 26, has 6.5 sacks across 43 games with four career starts.

Bills signed DE Jarius Wynn, formerly of the Cowboys.
Wynn, 28 in August, made 11 tackles and two sacks across 369 defensive snaps for the Cowboys and Chargers last season. He has 8.5 career sacks through six seasons. Wynn will compete for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Bills DL Jarius Wynn is done for the season with a torn ACL.
It’s a blow to Buffalo’s defensive line depth. The Bills signed Wynn to a two-year, $2.2 million contract in the offseason.
