Steelers selected Western Michigan OLB Keion Adams with the No. 248 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Adams (6'2/247) registered 13 sacks over his final two seasons in college, totaling 15.5 for his career to go along with 33 tackles for loss. He ran a 4.7-flat forty at his Pro Day with a 36-inch vertical and 10-foot-4 broad jump.

Steelers signed seventh-round OLB Keion Adams to a four-year contract.
Adams came on late in his Western Michigan career, posting 13 sacks over his final two seasons. His measurables (4.7 forty, 36-inch vertical) are solid for a late round flyer. Adams should compete for a special teams role.

Steelers placed OLB Keion Adams on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.
Adams has some pass-rush spunk, but was trying to make the team as a special teamer. The practice squad would have been better, but I.R. isn’t the worst possible outcome for a player who will now redshirt and learn. Adams will try to earn one of the Steelers’ final 53-man roster spots in 2018.
