  • FA Running Back #32
    Packers waived RB Kylin Hill.
He had come off reserve/PUP recently, but Hill had just nine total snaps between offense and special teams in Weeks 9 and 10. He did show some exciting tape in his rookie season before tearing his ACL, and could be an interesting waiver claim for a team that needs depth options.

  • FA Running Back #32
Packers placed RB Kylin Hill (knee) on the reserve/PUP list.
He’ll miss at least the first four games of the season. This comes as no surprise as he is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in late October. Patrick Taylor is probably the favorite to open the season as Green Bay’s No. 3 back, though Tyler Goodson has looked good in the preseason as well.

  • FA Running Back #32
Packers placed RB Kylin Hill (knee) on the active/PUP list.
Hill is working his way back from knee surgery that ended his season in November. The Packers also placed RB Patrick Taylor (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list.

  • SF Running Back #27
Sports Illustrated’s Bill Huber believes Patrick Taylor is the favorite to be the Packers No. 3 running back in 2022.
Taylor -- or whoever claims the RB3 spot in Green Bay -- would of course be well behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon on the depth chart. Taylor in 2021 showed flashes in limited usage, rushing 11 times for 53 yards in Week 18 against the Lions. In 23 carries over four 2021 appearances, Taylor forced six missed tackles and averaged three yards after contact. In training camp, Taylor will presumably compete with Kylin Hill, who was the team’s RB3 before tearing his ACL, along with Tyler Goodson.

  • FA Running Back #32
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Packers RB Kylin Hill is out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
Hill, drafted in the seventh round this spring, impressed in the preseason, forcing his way onto the Packers’ 53-player roster behind Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon. He had ten rushes for 24 yards in limited action through the season’s first eight weeks before hurting his knee Thursday against the Cardinals. A highly productive back in college, Hill should be ready to go for 2022.

  • FA Running Back #32
Packers RB Kylin Hill was carted from Green Bay’s Week 8 game against the Cardinals with a knee injury and will not return.
Attempting to return a third quarter kick, Hill got missile’d by Cardinals special teamer Jonathan Ward. He remained down for several agonizing moments and was then loaded onto the cart. A college star until landing in Mike Leach’s pass-happy system, Hill earned No. 3 running back duties in training camp, entering this evening with 11 touches in seven games. If he has torn knee ligaments, the 23-year-old will be difficult to hold onto in Dynasty leagues.

  • FA Running Back #32
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s Tom Silverstein reports Kylin Hill will be the Packers’ No. 3 running back.
The team on Tuesday released RB Dexter Williams and RB Patrick Taylor, leaving Hill as the only back behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. An incredibly productive rusher and pass catcher at Mississippi State, Hill acquitted himself well during the preseason, taking 19 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown in three games. Hill is a worthy target for Zero RB drafters and should be rostered in all dynasty formats. There’s a chance he sees snaps even with Jones and Dillon healthy.

  • FA Running Back #32
Packers RB Kylin Hill rushed seven times for 37 yards in Saturday’s preseason finale against the Bills.
Hill added a seven-yard reception. The seventh-round rookie finishes the preseason with 19 carries for 54 yards (2.84 YPC). That obviously does not jump off the page, but the Packers’ first-team offense never suited up this summer. There is a strong chance Hill is named the Packers’ No. 3 running back over Dexter Williams, though that is not set in stone. Hill is worth an end-of-roster spot in deeper Dynasty leagues.

  • FA Running Back #32
The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman reports rookie RB Kylin Hill is the frontrunner to start the season as Green Bay’s RB3.
Hill, the 256th pick in the 2021 draft, has created some low-simmering training camp hype while taking occasional snaps with the Packers’ first-team offense. Schneidman projected Hill to win the No. 3 RB job and play 15-20 percent of the team’s offensive snaps this year, which seems a bit bullish considering AJ Dillon will absorb Jamaal Williams’ snaps as Aaron Jones leads the backfield. Hill was an incredibly productive back -- both on the ground and through the air -- at Mississippi State. He’s an intriguing dynasty stash and someone of possible redraft interest if the Packers suffer backfield injuries in 2021.

  • IND Wide Receiver #19
Packers special teams coach Maurice Dayton said he likes Amari Rodgers as his punt returner.
Rodgers returned 68 punts during his four years at Clemson, taking one to the house as a sophomore. He was originally pegged for a significant role as a rookie but the acquisition of Randall Cobb will limit his playing time. Dayton also noted that he was encouraged by running back Kylin Hill’s prowess as a kick returner. Hill was productive as a rusher and receiver at Mississippi State before being selected in the seventh round of this year’s draft. A consistent role on special teams would ensure a roster spot for Hill, keeping him on the radar as a deep Dynasty stash.
