Lee Evans started at wide receiver in the Bills second preseason game.
Evans clearly has the edge over Josh Reed for the starting No. 2 WR job opposite Eric Moulds. Unfortunately for Evans, he’s caught one pass for zero yards in Buffalo’s two preseason tilts.

Lee Evans is averaging 27 yards a catch this season.
His 46-yard TD yesterday was his third straight game with a catch at least that long. Unfortunately, Evans only has eight catches on the season, so his fantasy value is more of a long-term deal.

Rookie WR Lee Evans is working with Buffalo’s first team in practice.
Watch to see if Evans starts tonight or next preseason game. Despite Josh Reed’s strong camp, it appears the rookie deep threat will start. He’s flier material if that happens.

Bills rookie Lee Evans worked with the first team offense yesterday.
Coach Mike Mularkey is rotating Evans, Josh Reed, and Bobby Shaw with the first team. The starter will be either Evans or Reed. We wouldn’t recommend drafting either before the very end of fantasy drafts.

Bills agreed to terms with Terrell Owens on a one-year, $6.5 million contract.
That was fast. While the move is completely against Buffalo’s character, it makes sense for them. They are desperate for receiver firepower across from Lee Evans to help Trent Edwards out. The rest of the AFC East isn’t getting easier and Dick Jauron is in a playoff-or-bust year. The move may blow up in their face, but we love that it’s a one-year deal. Owens will have to perform and behave to keep his career going. While this helps Evans and Edwards, Owens is joining the least explosive offense of his career. Expect his numbers to suffer accordingly.

Lee Evans was held out of practice Thursday with a bruised shoulder.
Evans is day-to-day and the injury isn’t considered to be serious.

Bills WR Lee Evans returned to practice Monday.
He missed a few days with a minor shoulder injury.

Bills WR Lee Evans caught three passes for 115 yards and a touchdown in a preseason loss Friday.
That’s a Lee Evans line if we ever saw one. Evans gained 47 yards on one early catch, mostly after the catch, then caught a 46-yard bomb from J.P. Losman for a score. With help from Losman, Evans could be one of the best deep threats in football.

Lee Evans was held to two catches for 25 yards in Week 1.
New England took away the deep pass effectively. Evans will have huge days, but you can expect some inconsistency because of Buffalo’s conservative passing game.

Lee Evans missed Ravens practice Wednesday with the same ankle injury that dogged him late in the preseason.
Evans is now in a protective boot. It’s fair to wonder if the ankle had an impact on his Week 1 production. Evans saw four targets and didn’t haul in one, appearing to operate only as a clear-out route runner (shades of Buffalo). Banged up and unproductive so far, Evans won’t be a fantasy option in Week 2.
