LJ Cryer (illness) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Kings.
This one’s a bit of a surprise. Cryer was initially listed as probable with an illness, but has since been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Kings. He was unlikely to have a significant role Stephen Curry back healthy anyway.

LJ Cryer (illness) is probable to play against the Kings on Tuesday.
Cryer missed Sunday’s game against Houston, but he is expected to be back for this one. However, with Stephen Curry back, Cryer’s role will be too limited for him to make much of a fantasy impact.

LJ Cryer (illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Rockets.
Cryer had 12 points in 25 minutes off the bench in Thursday’s loss to the Cavaliers. While the Warriors will be missing a rotation piece in Cryer, his absence doesn’t significantly impact fantasy basketball.

Gary Payton II (knee) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Wednesday.
Payton is managing his knee injury on the first night of this back-to-back, and there is a chance he misses one leg, even if it isn’t against San Antonio. His absence would open up extra minutes for Pat Spencer and LJ Cryer.
  • De’Anthony Melton (thumb) has been ruled out against the Spurs on Wednesday.
Melton will be unavailable for the first leg of this back-to-back. Gary Payton II has a good chance to replace him in the starting unit, with LJ Cryer and Pat Spencer taking on extra minutes off the bench.

HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reports the Warriors will sign LJ Cryer to a two-way contract.
Cryer spent time with the Warriors during summer league after going undrafted in June. Now, he’ll occupy the two-way spot that was previously held by Jackson Rowe, who the Warriors waived.
  • CLG Point Guard
LJ Cryer amassed 19 points (6-of-8 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), one rebound, two assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Spurs.
After an excellent career at Houston, Cryer was not selected in the 2025 draft. While that makes earning a shot in the NBA more challenging, it isn’t impossible. Cryer was terrific against the Spurs, shooting 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and leading the Warriors in scoring. The Warriors’ lone 2025 draft pick is Florida wing Will Richard, who was selected in the second round. So, there may be more room for Cryer to establish himself than if the team were looking to build up a first-round pick. Cryer is unlikely to impact fantasy basketball, but he’s a tough player who can shoot at a high level.
