49ers signed DL Shilique Calhoun, formerly of the Patriots.
San Francisco also signed CB Alexander Myres and waived both CB Mark Fields and OL Isaiah Williams. Calhoun has appeared in 51 games across his five-year career – recording just one start – and figures to slot in as a depth piece for the 49ers.

  • FA Defensive Back #25
Vikings acquired CB Mark Fields from the Chiefs in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round pick.
Signed as an undrafted free agent in April, Fields (5’10/192) logged 112 snaps in the preseason, allowing seven catches for 65 yards. He made only six career starts in Clemson’s stout secondary, managing one interception across 48 appearances. He’s an interesting depth piece as a nickel or dime corner prospect in Minnesota.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Chiefs signed Clemson CB Mark Fields.
Fields (5’10/192) made only six career starts in Clemson’s brimming-with-talent secondary, mainly playing in sub-packages and on special teams and managing one interception across 48 appearances. Son of the ex-Pro Bowl NFL linebacker who shares his name, Fields helped himself with an impressive Senior Bowl and 4.37 forty at the Combine. An aggressive tackler with man-coverage traits, Fields is an intriguing nickel or dime corner prospect who will at very least shine running down kickoffs and punts.
