“We’re going to make sure he wakes up (Friday) pretty sore,” coach Mike Tice said. “That’s real important for his confidence.” Bennett felt fine after the workout and remains on track for week six. With Onterrio Smith still available, don’t expect a ton of carries right away.

“That’s the way I see it now,” coach Mike Tice said. The Vikings are targeting a week two or week three return for Bennett, but he’ll likely come off the bench initially. It sounds very possible that Bennett will completely miss the first three games, then rest during Minnesota’s bye week. Continue to downgrade Bennett. This looks a lot like last year.
