Rockies recalled RHP Angel Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Rockies reinstated RHP Angel Chvilli from the restricted list and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Chivilli was placed on the restricted list for reasons that are still unknown a week ago, but now the 23-year-old will head back to Triple-A to provide organizational depth.

Rockies placed RHP Angel Chivilli on the restricted list.
No word yet on the reasoning for the right-hander’s placement on the list or how long he’ll be away from the team for. Kyle Karros had his contract selected from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move on Friday.

Rockies recalled RHP Angel Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Chivilli has shuttled between Colorado’s bullpen and Triple-A Albuquerque this season, posting a lackluster 5.91 ERA over 35 innings (25 appearances) at the big-league level. The 22-year-old right-hander should get an extended look down the stretch as the Rockies continue to lean into a long-term evaluation mode.

Rockies optioned RHP Angels Chivilli to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Chivilli has been up-and-down from Albuquerque to Colorado and vice versa for the majority of the year, and it’s unlikely to change anytime soon. He’ll move south this time with Zach Agnos getting the promotion to take his place on the roster.

Rockies recalled RHP Angel Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Chivilli has bounced around between Colorado’s bullpen and the minors over the last few weeks. The 22-year-old righty is back in the big leagues to give the Rockies some additional relief depth for Sunday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks. He’s registered an underwhelming 6.14 ERA across 29 1/3 innings (20 appearances) this season at the highest level.

Rockies recalled RHP Angel Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Chivilli was optioned eight days ago after posting a 6.14 ERA in 29 1/3 innings. He’ll pitch in middle relief, though maybe only until Zach Agnos returns from bereavement leave.

Rockies optioned RHP Angel Chivilli to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Chivilli has struggled to a bloated 6.14 ERA across 29 1/3 innings (20 appearances) this season out of Colorado’s bullpen. The 22-year-old righty will attempt to turn things around back in the minors before getting another chance.

Angel Chivilli pitched around trouble to earn his first career save in a 3-1 win over the Nationals.
Before the game started, Rockies manager Bud Black confirmed that normal closer Victor Vodnik was experiencing soreness in his shoulder and was shut down in his warmups. That led to Chivilli getting the save opportunity despite recording just one save in the minor leagues this season. After striking out James Wood, Chivilli allowed a walk and a single before pitching himself out of trouble. The 22-year-old figures to remain in the late-inning mix if Vodnik were to miss time, but Chivilli has a 4.70 ERA on the season, so he’s not a must add in any fantasy format.
