Perdomo represents a worthwhile low-risk flyer for the Angels after making four relief appearances this past season for the division-rival Athletics. The hard-throwing 31-year-old lefty has compiled a robust 34.2 percent strikeout rate across 52 innings over 56 career appearances in the big leagues since the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.

Perdomo was removed from the Athletics’ 40-man roster back in mid-April after making four early-season relief appearances. The 31-year-old lefty has made 56 career appearances in the big leagues since 2020.

Perdomo went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment over the weekend by the Athletics. The 30-year-old lefty posted a lackluster 5.40 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 2/3 K/BB ratio in 3 1/3 innings across four games.

Perdomo gets the boot from the 40-man roster and the active one to make room for J.T. Ginn, with Ginn getting the start Saturday against the Mets. Perdomo will hit the waiver wire, and the southpaw could be of interest to teams looking for depth in their bullpens.

Harris has been jettisoned to the minors to make room for recently-added lefty Angel Perdomo, who was claimed off waivers over the weekend from the Angels. The 28-year-old lefty has made 36 appearances (15 starts) for the Athletics over the last three seasons.

Perdomo was designated for assignment by the Angels earlier this week. The 30-year-old left-hander didn’t clear waivers as he was claimed by the Athletics. Esteury Ruiz was designated for assignment in a corresponding move to make room on the 40-man roster. Perdomo figures to have a role in the Athletics’ bullpen.

Perdomo was acquired last week from the Braves in a small trade and finds himself on waivers after failing to land a spot in the Angels’ season-opening bullpen. The 30-year-old lefty figures to go unclaimed and will likely wind up electing free agency.

Perdomo has looked sharp this spring in his return from Tommy John surgery, allowing two runs with a 6/4 K/BB ratio across 8 1/3 innings (eight appearances). The 30-year-old lefty bolsters Los Angeles’ left-handed relief depth and will operate in middle relief.

It’s a procedural move that clears spot on the 40-man roster for Jackson Stephens. Perdomo will miss the majority — possibly all — of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last October.

This move isn’t a surprise as the 29-year-old is coming back from Tommy John surgery last October and is expected to miss most — if not all — the entire 2024 season. Perdomo a 3.72 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and a 44/11 K/BB ratio over 29 innings in 30 appearances with the Pirates during the 2023 season.
