    Misiewicz will give the Yankees another lefty in the bullpen for their three-game set against a Baltimore team loaded with talented hitters who can hit from the left side. The southpaw has registered a 3.23 ERA and 1.14 WHIP over 30.2 innings and 23 appearances while with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

    Morris, who came over to the Yankees in the December deal that sent Estevan Florial to the Guardians, was blasted for a 10.80 ERA, 1.95 WHIP and a 7/5 K/BB ratio over 6 2/3 innings of work in his four Grapefruit League appearances. He’ll open the season as bullpen depth for the Yankees at Triple-A.

    The 29-year-old lefty has spent four seasons in the majors, playing for five different teams during that stretch. In 2023, he appeared in 11 games for three different squads, pitching 11 innings with a 7.36 ERA. His 2023 campaign ended in mid-September after being struck in the head by a 100.6 mph line drive that resulted in a hospital appearance and a trip to the IL (concussion).

    It’s not surprising to hear that Misiewicz is still battling the after-effects of being drilled in the head by a 100.6 mph line drive on Friday. It doesn’t look likely that he’ll be able to return to the Yankees’ bullpen before the 2023 season concludes.
